Entrepreneurial Skills Development Program (ESDP)

1. What is it about?

Join us – think entrepreneurial, increase your research impact!

ENRICH in the USA is launching its first Entrepreneurial Skills Development Program for researchers. We provide you the skill trainings necessary to spark your entrepreneurial mindset and boost your research impact, in the country ranked first in the category “entrepreneurial culture”. According to the Ernst & Young G20 Entrepreneurship Barometer, the United States is one of the leading countries in fostering entrepreneurship, with an ecosystem better equipped for entrepreneurial thinking than Germany, France and the EU. Getting to know this ecosystem will open more doors and market opportunities for you and your research.

2. What do we offer?

Funded by the European Commission, this call will support 20 participants for the Entrepreneurial Skills Development Program. The Program is worth over 20.000 Euros. Your costs for the trainings, info-sessions, venues, materials, guest speakers and meals during the program are covered. The reduced training fee is a total of 450€ only (to be paid by participants).

3. What’s in it for you?

Being part of the ESDP, you will receive information-sessions and training courses on commercialization strategies, technology transfer, career development, negotiation, IP protection, patents, licensing and much more.

By attending the ACS National Meeting you will further be able to connect with more than 15,000 attendees from around the world to grow your network, explore 200+ exhibitors who showcase the latest technological developments and attend more than 50 professional training courses and workshops to advance your career. At the same time, you will be also given an opportunity to match-and-meet with highly engaged and experienced mentors. The mentoring fosters your personal development through participation in the insider knowledge of experience of senior managers (mentors), which is made possible by a direct and exclusive relationship.

4. Who are we looking for?

Early-stage and mid-career researchers, whose research has a high innovation potential and who aim to investigate the possibilities of commercializing their research in the USA and beyond, thus seek to develop entrepreneurial skills and increase their research impact.
